Wright Lithographers Building Architecture

The Wright Lithographing Co. has been of interest to my photographic eye for a long time…

I wanted to show off the architectural wonder that is the Wright Lighographing Co. through my vision.  The building has always been so interesting because of the amazing brickwork, style, and the Boston Ivy that grows on the exterior.

In the spring of 2010, I noticed the Ivy had been removed from the architecture.  You might think that it would be an improvement to the building and show it off more; however, I adored the green sustainable wall that the Boston Ivy was creating.

The growth you can see in these pictures was done over the spring, summer, and fall.  It made some pretty good headway in a short time!

The building is beautiful and I hope my photography does it justice.

Wright Lithographing Company Limited is a family owned and operated company that opened in 1905. Started by John and George Wright, the company’s focus was and still is the manufacture of quality labels. We began as a lithographing company and branched out through the years into other areas of printing. We have, in the past, printed such diverse things as milk tickets, cigar bands and limited edition lithographs.

Photography and photographs are the proof that my depression has given me the passion to find the good in life and the world; To look at every moment, every subject, every object with the ability to help tell a story. The story is sometimes for a person, a small business, a building, or an entire idea. I look at my photography as a way to help make client ideas happen and come to life. Scott is the owner and blogger of a number of websites that are photography focused and run under the business name Embryo.
