The Architecture of the Vancouver Convention Centre
Architecture in the urban core of Vancouver is nothing short of inspirational….
While in Vancouver, I found that I was reunited with Architecture. I graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Architecture, but I never went on to practice. There were a number of reasons, but I believe everything has been falling perfectly in line – as it really should be. My connection with Architecture seems to be found within the photography. Architectural photography is both interesting and inspirational.
These are a few of the architectural images I caught of the Vancouver Convention Centre as it was nearing completion. I’d love to go back now and photograph it fully done and get interior photographs too. In due time.
Architects LMN worked in collaboration with Vancouver-based Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership and DA Architects & Planners to design the centre

Beautiful wood seating found around the convention centre and the view from the seats was amazing.

While Nearing Completion February 22, 2011
The Convention Centre wasn’t open yet but it was very close to being finished. Still, you can see that it wasn’t 100% done but the image is still very powerful!

In processing, I decided to have a little fun and made a little tribute to kodachrome with this look.

Great set, I like the before and afters. The first HDR is my favorite.
